{Beckley, West Virginia}...A mandatory life sentence was imposed Monday by Raleigh County Circuit Judge John Hutchison after he denied defense motions for a new trial for 39 year old Christopher Bowling of Daniels in the fatal shooting of his wife. In July, a jury convicted Bowling of fatally shooting his wife, Tresa. Bowling's defense team argued the gun accidentally went off. As the sentencing hearing ended, defense attorneys Richard Weston and Todd Houck served notice of their intention to appeal.
