{Princeton, West Virginia}...After deliberating for about two hours Wednesday, a Mercer County jury found 55 year old Mark Lynn Jeffrey of Mount Juliet, Tennessee guilty on two counts of purchasing a child, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sexual assault, and sexual abuse by a custodian. Assistant Mercer County prosecutor Janet Williamson argued Jeffrey offered his former daughter-in-law $20,000 in cash in 2006 for his two granddaughters, who were 4 years old and 2 years old at the time. When Jeffrey first stood trial on the charges in August, jurors could not reach a verdict and Mercer Circuit Judge Derek Swope ended the trial. Jeffrey faces more than 100 years in prison.
