Section of Downtown Huntington Street Reopen after Sinkhole Repair
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- A section of 8th Street between 5th and 6th avenues in downtown Huntington has reopened to traffic Wednesday evening, Mayor Steve Williams said.
That section of roadway was closed Monday night after a large sinkhole developed near where renovations are taking place on the U.S. Corps of Engineers building.
Crews worked much of Tuesday and Wednesday to repair the sinkhole.
