Appalachian Power is staging more than 30 contractors in
southern West Virginia
in advance of a winter storm.
The utility said Wednesday that 32
contractors will be staged in Princeton .
They will respond wherever needed on Thursday.
Appalachian Power Vice President Phil
Wright says in a news release that the utility is confident its system will
hold up well.
Wright says colder temperatures and a
lack of wind should limit widespread outages.
If the extra crews aren't needed after
the storm passes, they'll be on standby to help other utilities.
