Deal reached between Cabell Huntington Hospital and union

Union workers at Cabell Huntington Hospital will not be going on strike.
Around 800 Service Employees International Union District 1199 union workers voted in favor of a new three-year labor agreement with the hospital Wednesday.
The union represents 800 licensed practical nurses, lab workers, and service and maintenance personnel at the hospital.
A tentative agreement was reached Wednesday morning between the union and the hospital after contract talks resumed Tuesday.
Last week the union issued a 10-day strike notice after rejecting a previous contract offer several days earlier. The union was threatening to strike on Friday if an agreement was not reached.

The details of the contract have not been released.
