Tennant to announce Senate campaign in several locations


CHARLESTON, W.Va. — An announcement is expected Tuesday from Secretary of State Natalie Tennant regarding her candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Jay Rockefeller.
Tennant plans to launch her campaign at several locations throughout West Virginia during the next 48 hours.
On Tuesday she plans to make stops at the Tamarack Conference Center in Beckley at 9:30 a.m., the Culture Center State Capitol Complex in Charleston at 11:30 a.m. and finally at the Mountainlair at West Virginia University in Morgantown at 5:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Tennant has planned two appearances—one in Wheeling at Independence Hall at 9:30 a.m. and another at 3 p.m. at the Martinsburg Holiday Inn.

Tennant is expected to face off against Republican Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito in the 2014 general election.
