W.Va. Teacher Accused of Having Sexual Relations with Student

A teacher in West Virginia has been arrested on sexual assault charges.

West Virginia State Police say Samantha Bentley, 25, of Marlinton, was arrested Tuesday on three counts of sexual assault by a guardian.

Troopers say that while Bentley was a teacher at Pocahontas High School, she is accused of engaging in sexual relations with the student.

The student claims this happened last school year, and was a juvenile when the alleged relationship occurred, according to police.

Bartley was arraigned in Pocahontas Magistrate Court.

No word on Bartley's employment status at the school.
