Auto-pedestrian accident send two children to hospital

An auto-pedestrian accident Wednesday morning resulted in two young children being sent to the hospital.
According to the Clarksburg Police Department, as a mother was crossing Nicholas Street while pushing a stroller carrying an infant and walking with two other children to take the oldest to the bus stop, a Chevrolet minivan traveling east on Hall Street at 7 a.m. attempted to turn left onto Nicholas and struck the 2-year-old boy and his 4-year-old sister.
The girl had to be pulled out from underneath the van by emergency crews, was sent to United Health Center and then transported to Ruby Memorial. The boy was taken to UHC as well. The mother and the infant were uninjured.

No charges have yet been filed against the driver but authorities said it depends on the result of the ongoing investigation.
