Make A Difference Kicks Off

Although Autumn has just begun, Christmas is right around the corner and families that are struggling to make ends meet, this time of the year can mean a lot of stress.

Yesterday, West Virginia State Police in Williamson kicked off "Operation Make a Difference." They are collecting food and toys for families in need.

There are currently drop off sites at the State Police Detachment in Williamson, the Big Lots in South Williamson, Kentucky, Canada's Cash Store in Delbarton, and the Gilbert Town Hall. They're also looking to get more sites across the area.

Donations will be accepted until Dec. 8. Troopers will then deliver the toys and food to families. The target date for deliveries to begin is Dec. 15.
