An electrical contractor died
Monday afternoon while working for American Electric Power near the Murray
Energy McElroy Mine near Cameron in Marshall
County
An AEP spokesperson confirmed two
linemen employed by Virginia-based Davis H. Elliot were replacing copper wire
that had been previously stolen when the incident occurred. The company did not
immediately confirm the death but Marshall
County
The incident, which occurred at
shortly before 2:30 Monday afternoon, was near the mine site and investigators
with the state Mine Office of Health Safety & Training were called in to
investigate.
