Teacher and soccer Coach Charged with Sexual Abuse of a Student

A teacher in Mingo County has been charged with sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.

Jennifer Parsons, 32, is accused of writing love notes, kissing and inappropriately touching a 13-year-old female student.

West Virginia State Police say the relationship between Parsons and the student began earlier this school year.

Parsons is a teacher at Matewan K-8 School and is a girl's soccer coach.
