A coal miner has been seriously hurt in an accident that
happened Saturday afternoon.
The West Virginia Office of Miners'
Health, Safety and Training has confirmed that the miner was injured at Alpha
Natural Resources Marfork Coal Slip Ridge #1 Mine in Raleigh County
The miner was taken to a local medical
facility, but no other details about the miner's injuries have been released.
No additional injuries have been
reported.
