Wayne County Man Faces Murder Charge

A man from Wayne County has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of his step-grandmother.

Wayne County Prosecutor Tom Plymale says Kevin Christenson, 22, of Wayne was taken into custody Thursday after W.Va. State Police issued a warrant for his arrest.

The charge is in connection with the death of 58-year-old Ruth Adkins of Dunlow on Wednesday.

Plymale says Adkins died several hours after allegedly being assaulted by Christenson at a mental health treatment center in Wayne.
