Average gas prices drop 4 cents in past week in West Virginia

Gasoline prices have dropped about 4 cents a gallon in West Virginia over the past week.

AAA East Central says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.59.

Prices range from $3.49 in Clarksburg to $3.80 in Martinsburg.

A year ago, gas prices in the state averaged $3.73.

Nationally, gas prices currently average $3.54 a gallon, down 7 cents from a week ago.
