The West Virginia National Guard, along with state and
local agencies, will be conducting a force protection exercise in several
locations throughout the state Thursday.
The
exercise will take place in 11 locations including Charleston and Martinsburg.
This
is an annual training event the Guard conducts in order to provide an
opportunity to sharpen emergency response skills and further develop working
relationships with local authorities.
The
state-wide force protection exercise is held every August in conjunction with
Army Antiterrorism Awareness Month.
