WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. -- Wayne County Sheriff's deputies spent the
day Tuesday going door-to-door for a drug roundup.
The roundup targeted heroine users.
That drug put 22 people in handcuffs Tuesday, which came as a
surprise to neighbors.
State police aided deputies in the roundup. Officers collected
heroin, as well as pills and guns, and they say Wayne County
is part of a bigger picture of drug abuse.
The roundup is the result of a three month investigation.
Deputies say roundups like this protect kids in the county.
Just a few of the charges they will face are possession of an
illegal substance, drug trafficking and conspiracy.
