A man is in jail after making terroristic
threats towards staff members at a mental health facility in Logan County , WV .
According to troopers with the West Virginia State Police Logan Detachment, 46-year-old Dale Keith Allen was arrested shortly before11
a.m. Wednesday morning at the Logan-Mingo Area Health, Inc.
Troopers say that Allen was there for an appointment, but became agitated after having to wait for an extended period of time, and began to threaten to shoot staff members if they would not see him.
Troopers also say staff members saw that Allen was carrying a red lunchbox, fearing there may be a weapon inside it.
The facility was on lockdown for about 10 minutes until West Virginia State Police troopers could secure the scene and arrest Allen.
Troopers say Allen did not have a weapon.
Allen was arraigned and is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.
