The Logan County Sheriff's Office warned Thursday of a scam
involving a man claiming to be raising money for the Logan County Deputy
Sheriffs' Association.
The Sheriff's Office said the man
identifies himself as Randall Thompson.
"Any person calling businesses or
private individuals are not representing our office or the association,"
the Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
If you have been contacted and have the
name, telephone number or information about anyone claiming to represent the
Sheriff's Office or the Deputy Sheriffs' Association, contact the Logan County
Sheriff's Department at 304-792-8590.
The Sheriff's Office said the Logan
County Deputy Sheriffs' Association will be conducting a fundraiser in the near
future but, when they do, they will make public the name of the company doing
the work.
