It's part of a national effort known as Operation Dry Water. West
Virginia Division of Natural Resources officers will be out in force on state
waters June 27-29 looking for boaters whose blood alcohol content exceeds the
state limit of .08.
The division says in a news release that the goal is not just to arrest impaired boaters, but to also promote awareness about the dangers of alcohol and drug use on the water.
