An interim Wayne County Schools superintendent was approved
Tuesday night by Board of Education members.
The board approved a one-year contract
for Lynn Hurt to serve as the interim superintendent.
The school board decided to wait until
the new board is seated next month to resume looking for the permanent pick.
That process is expected to begin around July 1.
