The federal EPA has received 1.5
million public comments on the agency’s Clean Power Plan that will impact the
emissions of existing coal-fired power plants.
EPA acting assistant administrator
for the agency’s Office of Air and Radiation Janet McCabe told reporters yesterday
the agency is making more information available for comment.
McCabe said there have been lots of
comments made about natural gas, the response by states to the new rule and
timelines. She said that information will now be made available for other
people to see so they can comment.
The public comment period ends Dec.
1.
