21-Year Old Killed in Car Crash, Teen Passenger Seriously Injured

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. -- A 21-year-old is dead after a car crash. Meanwhile, his teenage brother-in-law is fighting for his life.

Jacob Canterbury is a junior at CRHS and was in a bad car accident Monday night. His older brother-in-law, Austin Marcum, 21, was driving.

Canterbury remains in the hospital, but Marcum didn't survive.

The crash happened on Route 10 just south of Chapmanville in Logan County.

Police say it appears Marcum crossed the center line -- hitting another car head-on.

At last check, Canterbury was in critical but stable condition.

Nobody in the other car was seriously hurt in the crash.
