Three Arrests Made in Robbery and Beating

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- Three people have been arrested in connection with a robbery and beating that left a man unconscious in St. Albans.

Donovan A. Goodwin, Joshua Davis and Andrew Elsea were arrested early Monday morning and charged with armed robbery, unlawful wounding and assault. The suspects are all from St. Albans.

The incident happened on April 25 at 1400 Highland Drive in St. Albans.
According to the criminal complaint, Goodwin, Davis and Elsea beat Daniel Aldridge and took his iPhone and $45 in his wallet. During the incident, police say Aldridge was struck several times and suffered broken bones and was knocked unconscious. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

During this incident, the suspects threatened another man, Spencer Muller and demanded money from him, according to the complaint. The three got away with $50 from Muller.

Warrants were issued for Goodwin, Davis and Elsea on May 4, but they weren't arrested until Monday morning. The three are expected to be arraigned on the charges in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
