Two Arrested with Stolen Heat Pumps

Two men were arrested and charged with grand larceny in connection with three heat pumps stolen from a building that houses Appalachian Independent Living, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

William Richard Scott "Scotty" Nottingham, 29, of Elkview, W.Va., and Carl Clayton Larch, 32, of Walton, W.Va., both were charged with grand larceny.

Three large heat pumps were removed from outside the building. Each was worth about $5,000.

Both suspects were taken to the South Central Regional Jail.

Deputies say surveillance video helped lead to the arrests.
