Arrests Made in Gun Thefts

LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. -- West Virginia State Police troopers have arrested two men they say worked together to steal guns.

They say Coty Walker and Michael Lafferty of Logan County burglarized a home in Mingo County this week, stealing $1,600 worth of firearms.

Lafferty and Walker are accused of stealing a rifle, a pistol and a shotgun. The pair was brought before a judge Friday.

Troopers say they sold the shotgun to a man in Spice Creek. They also believe the pair may be connected to a string of break-ins around the Man area of Logan County.
