A
Clendenin mother is facing a child neglect charge after police found syringes
and needles scattered throughout her home on Maywood Avenue .
Police
charged Melissa Putillion, 22, with child neglect creating risk of injury.
On
November 8, police said they found Chad Elmore dead, lying on a bed. several
syringes and needles were found near his body. Upon further investigating,
police found more syringes and needles on a baby bed and underneath.
Putillion
admitted to police she and Elmore injected heroin, took Roxycodone pills,
and smoked marijuana earlier in the day. She also admitted to buying heroin
twice a week from a woman in Pinch for the past year.
Child
Protective Services were called in and Putillion’s son was put in protective
custody. The child is almost two-years-old.
Police
are currently trying to locate the Pinch woman who sold the drugs to Putillion
and Elmore.
Putillion
is out of jail on bond.
