The Lincoln County Commission has approved a new detachment for
the sheriff's department.
It will be located in Alum Creek right
beside of Holden's restaurant.
The sheriff says he plans to have
deputies stationed there to better serve that part of the county.
The Assessor's Office will also use the
office one day a week. People will be able to pay their personal and property
taxes during that time.
The department's headquarters will
still be located in Hamlin.
