Two men are facing charges, accused of stealing lines from
Suddenlink Communications.
West Virginia State Police say on Friday, Suddenlink contacted
troopers about lines being stolen in the Ethel area of Logan County .
The company says the theft caused an outage for thousands of customers in Logan and several
surrounding customers.
Troopers received a trip that two suspects were trying to sell
the stolen lines to H&P Recycling in Mount Gay .
Timothy E. Hackney, 32, of Stollings, and Homer P. Gibson, 41,
of Stollings, were both arrested at the recycling center.
They are charged with felony destruction of property, conspiracy
to commit a felon, grand larceny, and disruption of communication services.
Both men are being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
The stolen lines were recovered.
