Man facing federal charges after making threats to President Obama

McMechen, W. Va.– A Marshall County man is facing federal charges after threatening President Barack Obama and his family in a letter.
Federal court records said Ryan Kirker, 20, of McMechen allegedly sent a letter to the White House in April containing profanity, racial slurs and ending with the phrase, “KKK forever.”
In addition, forensic experts also determined that Kirker had written and sent another letter, which allegedly mentioned a weapon and his ability to obtain armor-piercing ammunition, to someone named John in late March. That was according to an affidavit from a U.S. Secret Service agent.
Kirker is being held at the Northern Regional Jail. He is scheduled to be in front of a federal magistrate on Tuesday.
