Man Stabbed To Death In Mingo County



MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. - A stabbing has left a man dead and a teenager charged with murder.

West Virginia State Police say James Hinkle, 19, got into a fight with Chris Wolford about 5 p.m. Thursday at Wolford's home on Spring Fork Road in Wharncliff.

During the fight, troopers say Hinkle pulled out a knife and stabbed Wolford in the stomach.
Wolford was taken to Logan Regional Medical Center but did not survive.

Hinkle has been arrested and charged with murder.

Several of Wolford's family members were home at the time of the stabbing.

Hinkle is lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail.

He is expected to be arraigned on a murder charge Friday morning.
