School searched following bomb threat at Poca High School

Poca High School was on lockdown yesterday while police searched the school following a bomb threat.
According to Vic Donalson, Principal of Poca High School, a message, written in lipstick, was found in the girls bathroom.  The message said there was going to be a bombing.
The school was placed on lockdown and students were moved to the gym and the Putnam County Sheriff's Dept. was contacted.  The sheriff's dept. then contacted the Kanawha County Sheriff's Dept. to bring a bomb sniffing K-9 unit.
The search lasted for about an hour and a half but no bomb was ever found.
Principal Donalson said all procedures were followed and there are person of interest in the case and the school would contact parents to let them know everyone was safe.

If the student or students responsible are located, they face a felony charge and expulsion from school.
