Wayne County Murder Victim and Suspect have Children Together

New information from West Virginia State Police in a murder investigation reveals the victim and one of the suspects have two children together.

Troopers say Erica Dawn Streets, the mother of those children, admitted to killing Julius Davis. Police also say Daniel Wayne Kilpatrick has confessed to helping bury Davis' body.

Troopers found a body this weekend on the back of a property on Little Lynn Creek Road, near East Lynn in Wayne County, W.Va. They say they found the body based on the information the suspects gave in their confession. However, they are bringing in a forensic anthropologist from Washington, D.C. to help positively identify the body and determine if it is Davis.

Troopers say Davis appears to have been shot in the head. The medical examiner is looking into that.

Streets has been charged with murder, while Kilpatrick has been charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact.

Davis and Streets' children are five years old and seven years old. They are in custody of the state until a decision is made about who should care for them.
