Names Released in Route 10 Fatal Crash

Speed may have been a factor in a crash that killed three people Thursday just outside of Chapmanville on Route 10.

According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff, Eddie Mullins, went left of center crossing over into the on-coming lane of traffic. Mullins is 27-years-old and from Chapmanville.

He was pronounced dead at the scene along with his passenger Terry Fowler, who is 39 years-old and also from Chapmanville.

The other passenger is believed to be Michael Johnson from Harts who is 38-years-old.

Investigators were not able to make a positive identification on-scene. The medical examiner took his body to make a positive identification.

The families of all three people have been notified.

Shane Hoosier, who is 34 and from Harts, was in the path of Mullins car. The Sheriff's department says Hoosier was successful getting out of the way of Mullins but kept on going, grazed the guardrail and went into south bound traffic hitting DeWanna Dalton head-on.

Dalton is 45 years old and from Harts. She was flown to the hospital. Her injuries are said to be serious.
