Wayne County Board of Education narrows it's search for new superintendent

The Wayne County Board of Education has narrowed its search for a new superintendent to five candidates and will begin interviews Monday, July 14.

According to a news release, the candidates are Barbara E. Brady, Loren S. Perry, Sandra F. Pertee, Ryan S. Saxe and John B.Waugaman Jr.

The five candidates have been narrowed down from ten initial applications. Wayne County School Board President Trey Morrone is asking for the public's input into what qualities the board should look for during the delegation portion of the July 15 regular meeting.

The news release goes on to say that while input is wanted, members of the public will not be allowed to use names or make reference to particular candidates or speaking privileges will be revoked. Those interested in speaking are encouraged to come before the meeting begins at 6 p.m. to sign in. Anyone interested will have up to three minutes to speak.
