Sandra Pertee, the new superintendent of Wayne County Schools,
officially signed a new deal on Tuesday to lead the district for the next year.
The Board elected Pertee to the
position on Monday night.
Pertee has spent her entire career in
the Wayne School District
Pertee said she believes it takes
everyone working together for the district to keep succeeding.
"I believe so intensely that
together we can be number one, and no man or woman is an island," Pertee
said. "It takes a village to raise a child."
Pertee's contract runs through June 30,
2015.
