Temporary Police Chief in Milton

MILTON, W.Va. -- The City of Milton has hired a retired W.Va. State Trooper as temporary Police Chief.

Mayor Tom Canterbury says Chuck Zerkle is replacing Chief Gary Lilly.

Mayor Canterbury says recent health issues with Chief Lilly is the reason for the hiring.

Canterbury says Chief Lilly’s “future is undecided at this time.”
