Josh Barker named to W.Va. House of Delegates seat from 22nd District

Danville town manager Josh Barker has been appointed to a House of Delegates seat from the 22nd District.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin announced the Democrat's appointment Wednesday.

Barker fills the unexpired term of Lincoln County Delegate Josh Stowers, who resigned to take a job as deputy to the state treasurer.

Barker was among three candidates whose names were forwarded by a district committee to Tomblin for consideration.

Barker attended Marshall University and earned a certificate in oil and gas well management from Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.
