Five Arrested in Wayne County in Drug Sweep



Five people were arrested Monday on drug charges during a sweep in parts of Wayne County, the Wayne County Sheriff's Department says.

Darrell "Joe" Kitts was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance. Darlene Kitts was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy.

Deputies executed a search warrant and arrested both of the Kitts in an apartment above a bar in Fort Gay, W.Va.

Michael "Wigger" Thompson of Fort Gay was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was out on parole on a prior drug charge.

James "Jimbo" Robertson, also of Fort Gay, was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Austin Blankenship of Wayne was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Almost all of the buys involved oxycodone. Deputies seized more than $3,300 cash, a quantity of 30 mg oxycodone pills and suboxone.

Fort Gay Police and Wayne Police assisted in the sweep, which happened about 9:30 a.m. Monday.
