Former West
Virginia first lady Shelley Riley Moore died Saturday, according
to the Moore
family.
Shelley Moore, 88, the wife of
former three-term governor Arch Moore and mother of three children including
Second District Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, has been in ailing health
in recent years.
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin released a
statement saying Shelley Moore represented West Virginia with “grace and class.” State
Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said his thoughts and prayers were with the Moore family at this
time.
