Students observing Constitution Day in W.Va.

Constitution Day is bringing 100 students from three West Virginia counties to the capital city.

The event in Charleston today is an annual observation aimed at reaffirming our rights and obligations as U.S. citizens. Participating in this year's edition will be students from McDowell, Summers and Wyoming counties.

Among the activities will be a tour of the West Virginia Archives Library, an address from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin and state museum tours.

The law establishing Constitution Day was created in 2004 with the passage of an amendment by U.S. Sen. Robert Byrd.
