The Logan County Commission appointed
David Trent of North
Mitchell Heights
at a special meeting Friday afternoon.
“I’ve been doing this for three
decades,” Trent
said. “I’ve been buying and selling properties for coal companies for the last
25 or 26 years. I’ve thought about running for this office for 30 years, but
I’ve never been one to get involved in politics much.”
“I’m very excited,” Trent said. “I would like to serve Logan County
in way that maybe has not been done before. Each person has their own
fingerprint. I have my own fingerprint. I’ve got friends who are assessors in
other counties and I will draw from their experience as well to help with a
smooth transition.”
