Burglar Targets Church in Lincoln County

BRANCHLAND, W.Va.– State Police are dealing with several break-ins this week in the Branchland area of Lincoln County, including one at a church.

Troopers say at least on burglar ripped the door off Mildred United Baptist Church and then ransacked it.

The thief got away with about one $1,000 worth of stolen items, and left behind about $1,500 worth of damage.

State police are investigating to see if the church break-in is connected to a couple of homes that were broken into in the same area.
