Elderly Woman Sent to Hospital after Hit-and-Run Accident

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- An elderly woman was sent to the hospital after and hit-and-run accident and now police are searching for the driver.

According to the Huntington Police Department, an elderly woman was driving her car down Hal Greer Boulevard  when another car tried to merge into her lane. During the merge, that car clipped the front of her car -- sending her onto the sidewalk and into some landscaping.

The woman was taken to the hospital after the accident. No word on her injuries.

Police are searching for a red car with rear end damage.
