Huntington Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Child Porn Charges

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- A Huntington man has pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges.

Raymond Leake, 34, entered the plea Monday during a hearing in U.S. District Court in Huntington.

Leake now faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in prison, along with a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced in October.

Prosecutors say Leake collected more than 600 pictures and videos of children having sex or performing sexual acts. The child pornography was found on Leake’s computer after he downloaded it from the Internet.

Members of the Federal Cybercrimes Task Force arrested Leake at his home in the 1000-block of Monroe Avenue on Jan. 13.

“Pedophiles like Mr. Leake who download and trade images of child pornography over the Internet are perpetuating crimes that involve the exploitation of innocent children. I will be relentless in prosecuting them,” U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said.
