Family announces death of state’s former first lady Shelley Moore



Former West Virginia first lady Shelley Riley Moore died Saturday, according to the Moore family.
Shelley Moore, 88, the wife of former three-term governor Arch Moore and mother of three children including Second District Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, has been in ailing health in recent years.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin released a statement saying Shelley Moore represented West Virginia with “grace and class.” State Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said his thoughts and prayers were with the Moore family at this time.
