Yeager Airport gets big financial boost from federal government

U.S. Senators Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin today announced more than $3.6 million in federal funding has been awarded to the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority. The money will go directly to ongoing infrastructure improvements at Yeager Airport, according to a news release issued by Senator Jay Rockefeller's office.

These funds, awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will be used to purchase an electric Preconditioned Air (PCA) system and gate electrification equipment, according to the same news release.
