Boone County man set to be sentenced for 2012 double murder

A Boone County man is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday morning for killing his wife and mother-in-law last year.
Timothy Parsons, 36, of Comfort will be sentenced by Circuit Judge William Thompson in Boone County Circuit Court at 9:30 Wednesday morning.
On March 19, Parsons pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree murder.
Police said Parsons admitted to killing his wife, Leigh Anne Kinder-Parsons, 35, of Bloomingrose and her mother, Gloria Sue Kinder, 62, of Lexington, Kentucky.
According to police, Parsons showed the bodies to a 15-year-old girl in the home hours later, tied her up and raped her.
The crime took place on May 15, 2012 at 517 River Avenue in Bloomingrose.
