Jail Investigations Updated

{Charleston, West Virginia}…Joe DeLong, executive director of the state Regional Jail Authority, updated a Legislative committee on Monday where the investigations into the two separate incidents involving 15 corrections officers at  the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville stands. Both incidents, which were reported in October, involved use of force. DeLong said one internal investigation has been completed, with six officers receiving disciplinary actions ranging from suspensions without pay to termination. A seventh officer resigned during the course of the investigation. The other incident, involving eight correctional officers, is still under investigation by the State Police
