Woman Abducted…Suspects Arrested

{Charleston, West Virginia}…Forty-four year old Joey Keith Jeffery and his girlfriend, 37 year old Cindy Leanne Creathers, both of Witcher Creek, were arrested Saturday and charged with malicious wounding and kidnapping. Sgt. Larry O’Bryan of the West Virginia State Police detachment in Quincy says they abducted a female victim by forcing her into a truck at knifepoint then took her to an area up Witcher Creek Road, where they brutally beat her. A Witcher Creek resident saw the abduction and called 911. O'Bryan says, after beating the victim and cutting her in several places on the face, neck, and shoulders, the couple left her in the mud. She was transported to CAMC Hospital, where she is listed in serious condition. Jeffery and Creathers were tracked down at the Knights Inn in Kanawha City. The victim told police the couple threatened to kill her, and Jeffrey threatened to drop her in a hole where no one could find her, and she was beaten with an axe handle. Police say Jeffery is a known drug dealer. A preliminary hearing is set for December 17th.
