Police Chase Ends With Suspect Dead

{Hurricane, West Virginia}…Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies say 44 year old Jan Dennis Perry of Clarksburg was killed after leading police on a high speed pursuit around 11:30 A.M. Thursday morning. Perry had allegedly attempted to steal a television and other items from the Wal-Mart in Hurricane. The chase ended when Perry turned into the Hurricane rest stop, less than a mile after entering Interstate 64, lost control of his car and slammed into a tractor trailer. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The pursuit speed exceeded 100 MPH.
